hanging up and handling errors

Summary

To hangup successfully the library needs to have the ability to close a connection to a socket. This wasn't available to the library previously

I have added

  • [] any new feature information to the documentation
  • [] any new environment variables to the documentation
  • [] any new endpoint information to the documentation
  • [] any new lines required at the bottom of every file (POSIX)

I have removed

  • [] any cases of logging that does not use the Elective Utility Logger
  • any replace commands from the go.mod file
